Sheffield Wednesday midfielder full of admiration for Celtic star

Everyone seems to have been taken aback by the scintillating form of Celtic striker Moussa Dembele this season.The Frenchman has been so impressive that Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have been rumoured as potential future suitors for the 20-year-old.Dembele increased his goal tally in the Scottish Premiership to 17 after scoring twice in Celtic’s 4-0 triumph over Inverness on Wednesday night.The attacker would have caught the attention of most football fans, and one of those was Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan.The 27-year-old tweeted his praise for Dembele, whom he described as “unreal”.

Bannan has a link to Celtic having been part of the club’s academy before switching to Aston Villa in 2004.

The Owls could do with Dembele’s goal threat having suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship to Brentford and Leeds United.

They are still fighting for a playoff position, though, as they sit sixth spot and have a healthy five-point advantage over seventh-placed Fulham.
