HYS: Who should start at right-back for England against Croatia?

[ad_pod ]

England dispatched the USA 3-0 at Wembley on Thursday evening, and despite the whole game feeling like a testimonial for Wayne Rooney (which it essentially was), there were some impressive performances in England shirts, as Gareth Southgate’s second-string side looked to play their way into Sunday’s UEFA Nations League starting XI.

England will play Croatia in a group decider at Wembley, with the winner taking top spot and the loser being relegated, although if it’s a draw then Spain will finish at the top of the pile.

After the win over the USA though, Southgate has at least one huge decision to make. This is because Liverpool youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold put in a man of the match performance and scored his first ever international goal in the friendly, putting Kyle Walker’s position under threat.

Alexander-Arnold has had somewhat of a difficult start to the season for his club side, but the 20-year-old has talent in abundance and his goal will give him huge confidence ahead of the Croatia clash, so he should surely be the one to start once again.

England fans, we want to know who you think should start at right-back on Sunday. Have your say by voting in the poll below.
