HYS: Should Tom Rogic start for Celtic against Red Bull Salzburg?

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers started Callum McGregor in attacking midfield during the 1-0 win over Aberdeen on the weekend, but the Bhoys needed the introduction of Tom Rogic before they opened the scoring.

The Hoops went into the game in sixth place after a poor start to the season, but it was first-half substitute Scott Sinclair who finally broke the deadlock just after the hour mark with a brilliant backheel after Aberdeen had tested Craig Gordon on a number of occasions.

McGregor has been at Celtic since his move from Notts County in 2014, but against Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League on Thursday, Rodgers must go with the more robust Tom Rogic in the same position. The 25-year-old has 40 caps for his national side Australia and has netted twice so far this season.

Against Aberdeen as the Hoops pushed for a goal, Rodgers threw on Rogic for Olivier Ntcham but the Northern Irish boss will need two defensive midfielders for the away tie in Austria.

So, Celtic fans, should Rodgers start Rogic in the Europa League? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
